Biography:
Mr. Stanley
Mr. Stanley is a very accomplished attorney for malpractice in Santa Monica.
Over the last fifteen years, Mr. Stanley has taught Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Seminars and has spoken at a variety of American Bar Association conventions, including the Annual Convention and the Young Lawyer’s Convention. He has been the “plaintiff’s” instructor and a California State Bar Sponsored Continuing Education of the Bar seminar on malpractice law. He was nominated for the 2005 Trial Lawyer of the Year by the prestigious Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (formerly known as Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association). Mr. Stanley has also been invited to include his closing arguments in the book “Closing Argument by the Masters.”
Mr. Stanley also serves as a probation and wellness monitor for the California State Bar to aid and supervise various attorneys recovering from substance abuse. He was also a Public Member of the California Dental Board’s Diversion Committee.
Mr. Stanley graduated from the University of California Los Angeles and West Los Angeles Law School. He is licensed to practice in the State of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He has also appeared pro hac vice in cases in Utah and Nevada State courts, as well as pro hac vice admission to the Federal District Court in Utah. He is also an experienced spinal cord injury attorney.
Trial Experience:
As a lawyer for malpractice, Mr. Stanley has an extensive record of taking cases to trial and obtaining successful jury awards including multi-million dollar jury verdicts and legal malpractice settlements in Los Angeles and the surrounding county in cases involving products liability law, and insurance bad faith. Other victories include the largest jury verdict ever awarded in Inyo County in a case involving legal malpractice claims.
